A Guide to identifying your sindys age
As a guide to help you identify your sindys age, you can use:
1. Pictures - This is a good way to date your doll as you can visibly see the face paint and shape of sindys head and body. You can find pictures on various sindy sites or in 'The History of Sindy' book which provides an excellent reference to dolls & clothes.
2. Sindy markings/numbers - You can identify sindys age by looking at the markings/numbers on the back of her head or on her body. The body markings can usually be found either between her shoulder blades or on the top of her bum.

Made in England - 1963 to 1965
Made in Hong Kong - 1966
033055X - 1971 to 1974 (Funtime & Trendy Girl Sindy Dolls) These dolls have makings on the body also.
033050X - 1974 to 1976
2 GEN 1077 and/or 033055X - 1977 to 1980
033055X - 1981 to 1982
Sindy 033055X - 1983 to 1985
Sindy was produced by Hasbro in 1986 and generally just has the word 'Sindy' on the back of the head in a slightly raised box.
